Invecchiato Extrait de Parfum
Fragrance notes
Character
Invecchiato Extrait de Parfum suits the person who walks into a wood-paneled room and lets the door close behind them. It is for the evening when the air is cool enough to see your breath and the street outside has gone quiet. The person who wears this is not trying to be noticed from across the pavement. They are already seated, already settled, and the scent arrives as part of the furniture.
Rum and cognac lead, thick and syrupy, with black pepper adding a sharp bite to the sweetness. Chocolate and whiskey follow, heavy and rich, while walnut and dried fruits give the heart a dry, earthy density. Birch tar and tobacco anchor the base, dark and resinous, with guaiac wood and Cuban cigar deepening the smoke. Suede smooths the edges so the composition feels worn rather than polished. It is woody, leathery, warm, spicy, nutty, sweet, and smoky all at once. The rum and chocolate meet the tobacco and tar without one overwhelming the other, and the whiskey note carries the dried fruits through the drydown. There is a weight here that asks for a heavy coat and a slow walk home under streetlights that have just flickered
