Rain Tea opens with a curious clash: chamomile’s soft, haylike sweetness butts against the waxy, almost mentholated bitterness of chrysanthemum, while acacia throws in a syrupy floral note that feels halfway to honey. The heart is where the concept lands — white tea steamed with wet pavement, a rain note that’s more petrichor than laundry basket, green and mineral-slick. But the base undercuts the illusion. Honey and longan berries clump together into a sticky, jammy sweetness, with barley adding a dusty, porridge-like graininess that drags the whole thing into the kitchen rather than the garden after a storm.
