Chocolate Earth
Fragrance notes
Character
Chocolate Earth opens with fennel, tarragon and pine. The fennel brings a cool, anise-like lift that the pine sharpens, while tarragon adds a green, slightly bitter edge. This top layer feels brisk and herbal rather than sweet, steering the fragrance away from gourmand territory at the start.
The heart introduces mushroom, marigold, cedarmoss and elemi. Mushroom and cedarmoss deepen the earthy character, giving the scent a damp, forest-floor quality that marigold brightens with a faint, resinous floral touch. Elemi bridges the green opening to the heavier base, keeping the transition smooth and cohesive.
Chocolate, patchouli, fir, sugar, maple, oakmoss and salt form the base. The chocolate and sugar arrive with a dry cocoa tone, not a creamy dessert, and the maple adds a thin, dark syrup note. Patchouli and oakmoss anchor the blend with their familiar soil-like weight, while fir and salt prevent the sweetness from dominating. The scent stays present through a cool evening outdoors, wrapping the wearer in a warm, resinous layer that does not extend far beyond the body. It settles into a lasting impression of earthy, woody richness.
