Our take

The Vert opens with a brisk, citrusy slap of yuzu and grapefruit, bright and almost effervescent, before mandarin orange softens the edges into something more cordial. A green tea note emerges quickly, not the smoky kind but a pale, grassy infusion, and Virginia cedar adds a dry, wooden skeleton that keeps the whole thing from floating away entirely. The impression is of a sunlit terrace in early June, a glass of chilled citrus tea sweating on a white tablecloth, the air carrying a breeze through a hedge of newly trimmed leaves. This is not a fragrance that sticks around to argue its case. The numbers tell you straight: longevity hovers around a fleeting two and a half hours, and sillage is barely a whisper after the first twenty minutes. A shame, because the opening is genuinely lovely, clean and natural without feeling synthetic or labored. It belongs to the person who wants to smell fresh for an hour at a desk, someone who reapplies as casually as they sip water, who values the gesture over the statement. Best for a warm spring morning or a humid summer afternoon, but it will vanish in the evening air. Skip it if you want something that announces itself or lasts a whole lunch break. For the price, you are paying for a lovely, brief moment. Is that enough?
