Our take

Summer Flare opens with a burst of grapefruit and melon, juicy and tart, with a minty green flick that suggests something refreshing is about to happen. It never quite delivers. The heart layers Egyptian jasmine over pink pepper and sunflower, but the florals feel thin, artificially brightened like a screen filter rather than real sunlight. White musk, vanilla, and cedar try to anchor the base, but the whole affair evaporates in under two hours, leaving only a faint powdery musk behind.

This is a scent that behaves like a melting popsicle on a hot boardwalk vivid, sticky, and gone before you can properly enjoy it. The longevity and sillage numbers are brutally honest: 2.61 and 2.27 mean you’re spraying for yourself and yourself alone. It skews synthetic in the most mainstream way, all ozonic fizz and candied peach with no natural nuance to sink your teeth into. If you want a carefree, low commitment spritz for a sunny afternoon at the farmers market or a picnic where you won’t offend anyone nearby, this works. But if you crave presence, depth, or a fragrance that lingers into the evening, skip it. Summer Flare is a fleeting vacation snap, not an album worth replaying.
