You smell this and think, is that a bitter green almond or a spritz of bergamot cutting through wet grass? The opening snaps with galbanum’s resinous bite, while amaretto adds a curious boozy sweetness that never goes syrupy. It’s a Chypre Floral, but the usual oakmoss is swapped for a dusty, earthy vetiver and patchouli duo, letting the narcissus and orange blossom push forward with a honeyed, almost powdery narcotic glow. Jasmine turns the heart into a sun-soaked white floral blur, but it’s the iris in the base that pulls everything back into a cool, lipstick-like finish. The whole thing feels like a vintage silk scarf that has spent the afternoon draped over a rosemary bush in a Capri garden. It’s polished but not precious, mainstream in execution but with a sour green edge that keeps it from being a safe floral. Longevity is decent, about four or five hours, and sillage sits close enough that you’ll catch it yourself but won’t announce a room. This is for someone who wants a crisp, aromatic floral with a bitter twist, who loves narcissus but finds tuberose too loud. Skip it if you need a beast mode gourmand or hate galbanum’s sharpness. Wear it on a warm spring afternoon, a linen dress and sunglasses kind of day, or a breezy early summer evening when the light is still golden. 🌿
