Le Baiser Du Dragon opens on amaretto and bitter almond, sweet and faintly bitter at once, like marzipan before it's been fully sweetened. Gardenia and neroli cut through the almond with a clean, white-floral brightness in the opening.
Cedar, iris and jasmine move in for the heart, and rose adds a dusty, powdery softness, turning the composition into something closer to a spiced floral than a straightforward dessert.
Vetiver, patchouli and benzoin deepen the base into something dark and resinous, dark chocolate and caramel adding a final, gourmand sweetness that lingers once the florals fade. The wear holds firm through that whole slow shift, from bright almond to dark chocolate, without losing steam, and the sillage stays low-key and warm, the chocolate and amber breathing out a soft glow caught mainly by whoever's nearby.
Fall and winter are essentially the only season for this bottle, and it wants to be worn after dark. Alberto Morillas built something genuinely strange here, a gourmand that keeps circling back toward earth and resin instead of settling into straightforward sweetness, rewarding anyone patient enough to let the whole arc play out.
