Mysterious Rose
Fragrance notes
Character
A low table holds a brass tray of dried fruits and dark tea. The air is still, lit only by a single candle. A slice of peach sits on the edge of a plate, its juice catching the light before the fruit gives way to a thick cluster of Bulgarian rose. The flower here is heavy and velvet-rich, not bright or dewy, and it pulls the room inward.
Smoke begins to rise from a corner brazier. The incense does not arrive as a sharp edge. It moves in slow coils that wrap around the rose, pulling the petals into a warm, resinous space. Amber adds a golden weight, while balsamic and warm spicy accords settle into the wood of the furniture and the fabric of the cushions.
The fruit fades into the background. What remains is a deep floral heart surrounded by a smoky, almost resinous stillness. The rose does not fight the incense. It rests inside it, softened and darkened, until the entire room smells of ancient stone, heated spice, and petals that have lost their daylight color.
Someone who enjoys a floral scent that feels rooted in shadow and heat will find a home here. Wear it when the evening is quiet and the door is closed to the street.
