Nébuleuse du sang
Fragrance notes
Character
Nébuleuse du sang opens with a bright mix of citrus and fruit. Bergamot, lemon, pear and peach provide a fresh and juicy start. Pink pepper adds a sharp bite, while incense brings a dry, resinous edge to the top. The opening feels lively and slightly tart before the floral heart takes over.
The middle develops into a dense bouquet. Bulgarian rose and jasmine lead with a rich, slightly indolic floral character. Ylang-ylang adds a creamy softness, and iris contributes a smooth, powdery texture. Cedar grounds the heart with a dry woodiness that prevents the flowers from feeling too lush.
The base is heavy and complex. Sandalwood and vanilla create a warm, creamy foundation. Tonka bean, benzoin and opoponax add a sweet, balsamic depth. Leather, civet and musk introduce an animalic warmth that feels raw. Patchouli, vetiver and ambergris provide earthy and mineral shadows that keep the sweetness from becoming flat.
This is a dense fragrance with a very strong animalic presence. The civet and musk are prominent, and they give the composition a heavy, slightly aggressive character. People who prefer clean or purely floral scents will find the base overwhelming. The scent also lacks a fresh green or aquatic element, so it stays firmly in a dark, resinous space without any light contrast.
