Our take

The opening pomegranate is bright and tart, a sharp squeeze of juice that catches attention immediately. It does not linger, instead giving way to a heart of lotus, peony, and magnolia. These flowers are rendered in cool tones, feeling more like a reflection on water than a heavy bouquet. The lotus note is particularly effective, lending an aquatic freshness that prevents the peony from becoming too powdery. As the scent settles, the base of amber, musk, and mahogany attempts to provide some weight. The wood is dry and smooth, but the pomegranate’s initial sparkle has largely faded by this point. What remains is a clean, skin-like musk that stays close, requiring a sleeve lift to really catch the red fruit and the pale wood mixing together. It feels most at home in a bright kitchen on a weekend morning, or perhaps while walking through a wet garden. There is a distinct ozone quality here, a crispness that suggests open air and movement. It is a scent that lives in the moment, fading gently into the background as the hours pass, leaving a faint trace of mahogany and seed.
