Teide opens with a very crowded list of top notes that can feel busy rather than harmonious. Bergamot, cardamom, pink pepper, strawberry, coconut, coffee, peach, pineapple, cinnamon, orange, apple, and cumin all appear at once, and the result is a mix that lacks a clear direction. The fruit is loud, the spice is warm, and the coffee adds a bitter edge, but they compete instead of blending smoothly. This makes the early stage of the fragrance somewhat chaotic for those who prefer a focused opening.
The heart introduces violet, sandalwood, oud, saffron, jasmine, cedar, rose, iris, lily-of-the-valley, and amyris. Here the composition finds more structure as the woody and floral elements settle the earlier noise. Violet and iris bring a powdery softness that balances the warm spicy character of saffron and cumin. Jasmine and rose add gentle floral lift, while cedar and amyris reinforce the woody foundation. The transition moves the scent from a messy fruit start toward a richer, more resolved oriental profile.
Base notes of Peru balsam, sandalwood, amber, white musk, patchouli, ambergris, vanilla, labdanum, leather, vetiver, oakmoss, and incense create a deep, resinous finish. The amber and balsamic accords feel warm against the skin in bright morning light. Vanilla and musk soften the drier edges of vetiver and oakmoss, while leather and oud provide a dark contrast to the remaining sweet traces. The overall impression is a thick, golden ribbon of resin winding through a sunlit room.
