Our take

Sour cherry and pink pepper crackle like the first pull of a sparkler, bright and a little tart. That opening fizzes quickly into a tuberose that is not shy, a great waxy bloom with orange blossom clinging to its hem like a tipsy bridesmaid. The heart is dense, sweet, and almost too rich, but the base of cashmere wood and patchouli steps in to dry it out, adding a dusty, slightly animalic warmth that keeps the whole thing from tipping into candy shop oblivion. This feels like a vintage brooch retrieved from a secondhand store, still faintly perfumed with someone else’s memories.

Its character is unmistakably mainstream, but with a twist of something darker and muskier lurking beneath the shine. The sweetness is real and present, but not syrupy: more like preserved cherries and a hint of lipstick. The longevity sits around three and a half hours, which is honest rather than impressive, and the sillage hovers close enough that only a hug will reward the note. Wear it on a crisp fall evening, or when winter demands a flower that refuses to wilt. It suits someone who loves tuberose with backbone, but if you want something sheer or green, skip the bloom and walk past the bush entirely. Is there anything more stubborn than a tuberose that knows it looks good?
