Saffron Spices
Fragrance notes
Character
The barber shop window is fogged from the morning chill. Inside, a client sits wrapped in a white cape while saffron and lemon rise from his wrist. Wild berries add a brief, cooling juice to the sharp opening. The spice does not shout across the room. It stays near the fabric of his sleeve as the barber works.
Cardamom joins the saffron, deepening the air with a dry, aromatic heat. Rose and iris soften the edges, leaving a powdery trace on the skin that feels deliberate rather than accidental. The blend moves close to the neck, noticeable only when someone stands near to check the mirror.
Sandalwood grounds the scene with a smooth, woody weight. Amber oil brings a golden warmth that settles into the cotton collar of the cape. The scent remains personal, wrapped in the space between the man and the mirror, never reaching the far side of the small room.
The metallic accord sits awkwardly beside the natural woods. It gives the air a sharp, synthetic edge that distracts from the smooth sandalwood. The saffron itself feels thin after the first minutes, lacking the depth to carry the composition through the morning shave.
