Lemon and aldehydes open the composition with a bright, slightly metallic lift. Lily-of-the-valley and carnation follow closely, adding a spicy green edge that keeps the start from feeling soft. Geranium sharpens the mix further, giving the early stage a crisp, upright posture that feels deliberate rather than accidental.
Rose, ylang-ylang, and jasmine form the center. The rose carries the most weight, supported by the heavy cream of ylang-ylang and the clean white tone of jasmine. The floral heart stays dense and traditional, with the ylang-ylang lending a faint banana-like warmth that rounds the sharper petals without dulling them.
Vetiver and galbanum anchor the base with a dry, earthy bitterness. Sandalwood smooths the edges, while musk adds a low, steady warmth that ties the green and floral elements together. The galbanum keeps the foundation from turning sweet, maintaining the herbal bite that runs through the entire structure.
Bronislava Schwarzman composed this in 1978 for women who appreciate a classic Eastern European floral with a firm green backbone. It fits daytime wear in spring and summer, especially when the air is cool enough to let the lemon and galbanum stay distinct.
