It is a green, resinous presence that pushes against the sweeter elements. Incense curls through the middle, dry and slightly powdery, while nutmeg adds a warm, kitchen-like heat that grounds the cooler pine.
Tobacco and cedar form a heavy, woody base that feels substantial and a bit rugged. The walnut note gives the drydown a distinct nutty texture, almost like walking into an old wood-paneled room. Smoke lingers in the background, not overwhelming but always present, keeping the atmosphere dense. The blend leans heavily into its amber and aromatic accords, creating a scent that feels like thick wool and crackling firewood. Composed by Saruj Tangtaratorn and launched in 2018, this is a bold statement for those who enjoy heavy spice. The synthetic edge in the opening fruit can feel a little harsh before the resins take over. While the individual notes are interesting, the transition between the bright top and the smoky base is not always seamless. The sweetness sometimes clashes with the dry incense, creating a muddled middle that lacks clear direction.
