Character
Farandoula opens with Grasse rose paired with black and pink pepper. The pepper brings a brisk, slightly biting edge to the fresh petals, giving the entrance a clean and vivid character. It feels immediate and direct, moving forward without hesitation.
Raspberry enters the heart alongside sandalwood, iris, and geranium. The fruit is sweet but not sugary, resting on a creamy sandalwood base that smooths the sharper edges of the geranium. Iris adds a soft, powdery layer that keeps the fruit from feeling too bright.
Leather and oud form the drydown and take up most of the wear. The oud is deep and resinous, carrying an animalic warmth that feels heavy against the skin. Leather reinforces that weight with a dry, textured presence. Together they create a woody and warm spicy foundation that holds the earlier rose and raspberry close.
The fruit lingers near the leather, softening the resin without losing the wood. Powder from the iris stays faintly present throughout. It suits cool air and natural light, where the spice and the rose feel open rather than enclosed. The finish rests on leather and oud.
