Fragrance notes
Character
The pavement is still warm from the day when the first spray hits. Cypriol and neroli open together, the citrus bright against a dark, mineral edge. Rose enters soon after, not fresh but heavy, wrapped around the scent of asphalt that gives this fragrance its distinct character. Tolu balsam and Haitian vetiver ground the floral heart, pulling it toward the earth while Virginia cedar adds a dry, polished wood. Musk lingers in the background, blurring the edges of the sharper notes.
Multiple oud varieties from Cambodia and Laos sit at the foundation, supported by guaiac wood, patchouli, and a firm leather accord. Moss creeps in underneath, lending an aged, forest-floor quality to the drydown. The scent stays near the body, moving with the wearer rather than announcing itself across a space, yet it remains present on the skin for an extended period. It feels suited to a heavy coat and the quiet of a street lit only by streetlamps, standing beside a brick wall where the rain has just stopped falling and the wet concrete releases a final breath of steam.
