Our take

Nature by Franck Olivier opens with a squirt of citrus, a clean bergamot and Amalfi lemon that smell like the first peel of summer fruit, but it is the litchi and peach that soften the edge, turning the top into something like a fruit salad left in the sun. Marigold flickers through with a slightly peppery floral lift. Then the heart arrives with a tart Granny Smith apple, a cinnamon spike that stays fresh rather than cloying, and a lilac and lily of the valley bouquet that feels more like a garden center than a wild meadow. The jasmine is polite, never indolic.

What emerges is a fragrance that behaves like a glass of iced tea garnished with a sprig of white flowers. It is sweet but not syrupy, fresh but not aquatic, and the white musk and sandalwood base create a clean, soft landing. The cedar is barely there. This is squarely mainstream, leaning synthetic in the fruity notes but pleasant enough for a drugstore price point. However, the longevity is a frustrating two hours and the sillage barely reaches a whisper, so you will be reapplying every time you turn around. Who would wear this? A woman who wants a cheerful, no fuss scent for a spring picnic or a humid summer morning commute. Skip it if you crave projection or depth, because Nature evaporates like morning dew in direct sunlight.
