Bergamot lifts the middle just enough to keep the darker notes from collapsing into each other.
This is a scent for a dim room with wood furniture and a heavy wool coat draped over a chair. It suits someone who likes a floral that carries weight and a little heat, the kind of perfume that feels at home in a space lit only by a lamp and filled with quiet conversation. The drydown settles into sandalwood and cedar, with white musk smoothing the edges of the patchouli. What remains is a woody, amber accord.
