Our take

JuJu opens with a bright lift of bergamot that immediately meets the green, slightly peppery edge of geranium. Gardenia follows, creamy but not heavy, giving the first minutes a clean floral presence that feels awake rather than dressed up. The start is vivid and direct, the kind of scent that suits a room filled with morning light and open windows.

As it develops, jasmine and neroli bring a soft white floral heart, while heliotrope adds a gentle powder that recalls vintage face powder more than modern candy. Vanilla sits underneath without taking over, rounding the edges so the flowers never turn sharp. The overall impression is polished and a little old-fashioned in the best sense.

Amber and musk in the base keep the finish warm, though the woodsy note mentioned in the original description is too faint to shape the character in any clear way. The accord list promises an animalic trace, yet the scent stays firmly on the clean side of the spectrum. It wears like a neat silk blouse, proper and composed.

The limitation here is the powder. It is pervasive and unyielding, and it will bother anyone who prefers their florals dewy or crisp. The heliotrope and musk push the texture into a dry, cosmetic direction that never relaxes. JuJu is a specific mood, and the powder is the reason some will reach for something else.
