Satisfaction for Women
Fragrance notes
Character
Jovan’s Satisfaction for Women opens with a splash of overripe mango and peach, the melon adding a watery, almost candied edge. It’s a fruit basket left too long in the sun, syrupy and eager. The heart blooms with frangipani and tiare flower, a creamy, yellow floral that leans synthetic in the way of drugstore perfumes from the 1990s, but there’s a certain charm to that cheap exuberance. Ylang-ylang adds a banana-like sweetness, and the whole affair settles into a powdery vanilla musk dusted with sandalwood. The dry down is a plush, fuzzy vanilla skin scent that clings close, which is fortunate because longevity clocks in just under three hours. The sillage is a soft gauze, not a shout.
This fragrance feels like a tube of sparkly lip gloss applied before a pool party in July. It’s fruity, sweet, and unabashedly youthful. It suits someone who wants to smell like a piña colada slushie on a hot day, but anyone expecting complexity or lasting power should look elsewhere. Wear it for a lazy afternoon at the beach or a casual brunch when you want to feel effortlessly cheerful, but reapply often. After all, how much satisfaction can a three hour promise deliver?
