Advance
Fragrance notes
Character
Advance opens with lavender and rosemary supported by orange leaf. The lavender carries a clean, slightly powdery tone while rosemary adds a sharp, camphorous edge. Orange leaf brightens the top with a mild citrus freshness that keeps the herbs from feeling too dry.
The heart introduces sage, geranium and galbanum. Sage continues the aromatic theme with a slightly peppery touch. Geranium brings a rosy, green floral facet that softens the herbs. Galbanum adds a crisp, bitter green sharpness that cuts through the softer notes and maintains a brisk character.
Cedar, moss, vetiver and frankincense form the base. Cedar provides a dry woodiness, moss adds an earthy, damp quality, and vetiver contributes a grassy, smoky root scent. Frankincense lends a resinous, slightly peppery depth that anchors the greens and herbs without turning sweet.
The overall composition stays firmly herbal and woody with a persistent green sharpness. The frankincense and cedar give it enough structure to feel masculine and grounded. The limitation here is the frankincense. It leans a bit synthetic and can feel slightly harsh against the natural greens, making the drydown less smooth than the opening promises.
