Our take

A small wooden cabin rests in the cool air of a dim evening. Inside, the door has just opened to reveal a burst of lemon and bergamot, bright against the shadowed room. Palisander rosewood adds a dry, polished grain to the air, keeping the citrus from feeling sharp. The space feels quiet, wrapped in the scent of a fresh peel lying on a dark table.

As the evening settles, the scent grows richer. Beeswax coats the air with a golden, honeyed weight, blending into the soft petals of Bulgarian rose and jasmine. The flowers do not shout; they sit comfortably within the wax, creating a floral heart that feels thick and slightly dusty. It is a warm, intimate layer that pulls the air closer to the skin rather than pushing it outward.

Deep in the room, the base reveals its true weight. Tahitian vanilla and vanilla absolute merge with Siam benzoin and tolu balsam, creating a resinous, amber-heavy trail. Labdanum and Australian sandalwood ground the sweetness, while a trace of civet and Peru balsam adds a musky, animalic shadow. This richness lingers in the air for a significant stretch of time.

The beeswax and balsams ensure the scent stays present on the collar long after the door closes. It is a heavy, resinous cloud that wraps around the person wearing it. The final impression is the glow of a single, melting candle sitting on a mahogany bedside table.
