Adler arrives with a sharp edge that can catch the wrong way. The marigold and white tobacco carry a bitter, herbal snap that feels almost medicinal before the other elements arrive to soften it. Someone is arranging cut flowers near a wooden bench where a bowl of roasted cacao nibs sits open beside a tin of loose tobacco leaves.
