Black Cashmere
Fragrance notes
Character
The boutique is quiet in the late afternoon. A single stem of rose sits in a glass vase near the register, its petals dark and cool. Black Cashmere enters this room through the air rather than the bottle. The flower note is present from the first moment, but it does not dominate the space. It offers a soft, floral greeting that feels restrained and polite, sitting lightly in the air among the wooden shelves and the dust motes dancing in the window light.
The atmosphere shifts as the heart begins to unfold. Tonka bean brings a creamy, vanilla-like warmth that wraps around the sharpness of the oud. This wood is not aggressive here. It feels smooth and polished, like a carved handle worn by years of touch. The combination creates a thick, amber-colored haze in the corner of the room, mixing with the existing dust and the faint scent of old paper that lingers near the back wall.
As the moment settles, the musk in the base pulls everything close to the skin. The powdery accord becomes more noticeable now, softening the edges of the oud until the entire composition feels like a heavy sweater draped over a chair. The sweetness is present but muted by the aromatic air of the shop. It is a dense, musky blanket that absorbs the sound in the room, making the silence feel heavier and the light through the window appear slightly dimmer.
The scent hangs in the fabric of the upholstery, mixing with the static of the rug and the cold surface of the glass counter where the rose continues to sit, untouched, while the air grows thicker with amber and powder
