Our take

Red currant opens with a sharp, sour bite that feels alive and tart on the skin. Jasmine follows and softens the edge, adding a white floral breath that is airy rather than heavy. Tonka bean grounds the blend with a vanilla warmth that leans sweet and a little powdery. The sour note never fully disappears, which keeps the sweetness from becoming flat. There is a soft spicy accord running underneath that gives the fragrance a gentle heat. It feels aromatic and fresh at first, then settles into an amber haze that suits a dim room and a low table. The fruit is bright, the flower is clean, and the base is cozy. Nothing here tries to be complex or niche. It is a straightforward oriental vanilla that knows its mood and stays there.

The composition wears a glossy, mainstream coat that some will find too polished. The red currant can read a bit synthetic to a nose that prefers natural fruit. Jasmine is present but not detailed, so the floral heart feels a little thin. Tonka does most of the work and risks dominating the later stages if the jasmine fades in your mind. The fresh and sour tags sit oddly with the heavy amber and vanilla, creating a small tug between bright and dark that never quite resolves. It is an easy choice for an evening out, but the blend lacks a distinct personality that would make it memorable after the night ends.
