Our take

Shantara presents Isiris as a bright, sunlit composition. The opening brings Amalfi lemon and lemon verbena forward with a sharp, realistic peel character. Bergamot adds a slightly rounded edge to the citrus. The initial impression is clean and energetic, suited to a morning walk through a garden.

Geranium and lavender form the aromatic heart. The lavender here is dry and herbal rather than powdery. Iris sits quietly underneath, lending a soft, root-like texture that keeps the heart from feeling thin. The transition feels smooth rather than dramatic.

Beeswax introduces a golden, honeyed warmth to the base. It is sweet but not heavy, resting against the dry scratch of vetiver. Pine adds a resinous, needle-like freshness that prevents the wax from dominating. The combination feels natural and slightly rustic.

Jean-Claude Gigodot composed this fragrance for women in 2010. The overall effect is like standing in a sunlit grove where lemon trees grow next to wild lavender, and a nearby wooden table holds a jar of fresh honey.
