Stepping onto a shaded patio just after sunrise, the air still damp from overnight rain, you catch the sharp, green bite of lemongrass still wet on the stalk. It cuts through the humidity without trying to dry it out. Petitgrain adds a faint, clean bitterness to the air, like snapping a fresh twig from a potted tree. The scent settles into something cooler as the morning progresses. Dew drop is not a sweet note here. It smells like the cold water that collects on leaves before the heat rises, clear and lightly herbal. Cypress gives the green a firier, drier edge, moving the scent away from a garden and toward a forest path. It feels grounded but weightless, never heavy on the skin.

As the sun climbs higher, the wood begins to show. Hinoki and cedar arrive with a dry, slightly resinous texture that keeps the citrus from smelling like a cleaning product. Haitian vetiver pulls it all downward, adding a damp, earthy root smell that keeps the fragrance from floating away completely. It stays close and personal, anchored in the wood and the green rather than the sharp opening. The overall effect is quietly refreshing, like sitting under trees you cannot quite name, wearing something that smells expensive but unshowy. It does not shout or evolve dramatically. It simply sits there, clean and composed, refusing to become more than what it is.

The limitation is the lack of depth. Once the initial freshness settles, the fragrance does not offer much to discover. The notes are high-quality but static, never revealing a hidden layer or a surprising turn. It smells beautiful in the moment but leaves no lasting impression once it is gone.
