The door swings open and a wave of heat follows the visitor inside. Cardamom hits first, crisp and green against the cooler air of the room. Palisander rosewood adds a dry, polished grain to the entrance, but the oud arrives quickly behind it. This is not a loud, barnyard style of oud. It feels smooth and refined, supported by the clean sharpness of the spice.
As the evening continues, the wood settles into the furniture and the floorboards. Vetiver brings a damp, earthy edge that keeps the atmosphere grounded. Sandalwood rounds the corners, offering a creamy texture that softens the sharper resin. The air grows heavier with amber, a golden warmth that sits alongside the dark wood without overwhelming the space.
Tonka bean adds a gentle sweetness that pulls the dry spices toward something more comforting. The vanilla accord lingers in the background, powdery and soft. Alberto Morillas crafted this scent to feel like a private library filled with old timber, leather chairs, and a fresh pot of spiced tea sitting on a low table near the fireplace.
