A scarf is pulled tight against the cold air as boots crunch over frosted gravel in a quiet courtyard. The person standing there carries something dry and resinous that rises only when they move, a subtle warmth that belongs to the body and does not drift far into the open space.
Cypress and juniper lead first, sharp and clean, like crushed needles underfoot. The green edge is brief before frankincense takes hold, its resin smoothed by iris that lays a soft, powdery film across the sharper edges. There is a faint amber glow beneath it, spicy without heat, aromatic without freshness.
Ash settles at the base, dry and grey, pulling the brighter notes downward so the scent feels anchored and patient. It stays close to the skin but remains present for a long while, the kind of companion that waits rather than announces itself. The smoke is real but restrained, never thick.
