Viper Green
Fragrance notes
Character
Viper Green opens with a sharp, almost bitter squirt of mandarin, not the sweet juice you squeeze over breakfast but the pith, the white part that snaps your attention. That citrus bite is immediately swallowed by galbanum, a green note that smells like crushed stems and resinous tears, and for a moment you think this might be a proper, uncompromising green fragrance. Then the vetiver arrives, dry and rooty, and the whole thing settles into a polite, well-mannered woody aromatic that never quite lives up to its name. The image is a freshly mown tennis court on the first warm day of spring, all clipped grass and clay dust, but the players have already left. That is the problem. The longevity and sillage are frankly disappointing, a whisper where you wanted a hiss, and the scent fades into a faint clean skin smell within a couple of hours. It feels natural enough, like a niche house holding back, afraid to really lean into the galbanum’s weird, challenging side. Who is this for? The person who wants to smell like a spring morning without offending anyone, who values discretion over presence. Skip it if you want a green fragrance that actually bites or lasts past lunch. Wear it to a garden party or an outdoor brunch, but bring a travel atomizer.🍃
