Our take

Moonlight Rainbow opens with a splash of minty water and juniper that feels like a cold spring creek bubbling over wet stones. The pear and lemon lend a fleeting sweetness, but pink pepper keeps things sharp. Then the heart arrives and this is where Yaroslav Simonov gets weird. Soil tincture and cream soda shouldn’t work together, yet they create a curious tension – earthy, almost fungal, cut by a fizzy, lactonic sweetness that recalls old-fashioned soda fountains in a greenhouse. Iris and lotus hover in a powdery, floral haze, while lavender adds a herbal calm. The base settles into a soft, musky orris with a whisper of vetiver, but it’s thin. Very thin. With longevity barely clearing three hours and sillage that evaporates before you finish your coffee, this is an intimate whisper of a fragrance, not a rainbow. The whole thing feels like a watercolor painted on wet paper, lovely strokes that blur into nothing. It suits someone who enjoys conceptual, fragile scents for a quiet afternoon alone, maybe a rain-washed walk in early spring. Skip it if you crave projection or lasting presence. This is not a crowd-pleaser; it’s a private mood, and a fleeting one at that.
