Yellow Lemon Tree
Fragrance notes
Character
Yellow Lemon Tree opens with a sharp citrus mix built around lemon, lime, and pink grapefruit. Wild orange and bergamot add roundness while lavender and pink pepper introduce a cool, slightly prickly edge. The civet in the top layer gives the bright opening a faintly animalic lift that keeps the fruit from reading as clean or simple.
Ginger and jasmine sambac form the heart, with ylang-ylang adding a soft, creamy floral tone and rosemary lending a dry, herbal cut. The ginger provides heat that sits against the flowers, creating a warm spicy impression that feels active rather than settled.
The base rests on Haitian vetiver, sandalwood, and Virginia cedar, supported by civet, castoreum, frankincense, and Indian oud. This is a woody, musky, and powdery foundation that turns the bright opening into something heavier and more resinous as the composition moves forward.
The frankincense and oud give Yellow Lemon Tree a dry, slightly medicinal resinous quality that can feel rough next to the sweet citrus and creamy florals. The contrast between the juicy top and the heavy base is stark, and the resin never fully blends into the fruit.
