Acqua di Giò Profondo
Fragrance notes
Character
Sea notes and aquozone open Acqua di Giò Profondo with a cool, salty rush, more mineral than sweet from the very first spray, and bergamot and green mandarin add a citrus brightness on top of all that salt. Rosemary, lavender and cypress bring an herbal, slightly bitter heart, with mastic adding a resinous, slightly dry edge alongside the greener notes running through it.
Mineral notes, musk, patchouli and amber close it out, dry and a little grounded after all that saltwater brightness up top fades into something quieter. Staying power is moderate and the sillage forms a small, close bubble, present at close range without carrying far into a room. Summer is clearly its best season, when the marine coolness earns its keep, and daylight hours suit it better than a night out ever will.
It works best as a clean, salty, outdoor scent built for daytime rather than formal evenings out, easy to layer under a shirt on a hot morning. Next to heavier orientals or gourmands it will read thin, and that thinness is very much the point of a fragrance like this.
