Our take

Sea notes and bergamot open bright and marine, but the real character shows up when incense and patchouli move in underneath, turning what could have been another generic sea-air fragrance into something smoky and a little dark. Rosemary and sage keep the herbal edge sharp through the middle, so this never goes fully soft, and the combination of open water and church smoke is unusual enough to be worth the price of entry alone.

Alberto Morillas built a scent that comes across as both fresh and heavy at once, which explains why it works across spring, summer and well into fall without feeling out of place in any of them. Sillage stays a close-range presence, felt more than broadcast, while the wear itself is long-lasting, the smoky incense and patchouli base outlasting the citrus opening by a wide margin.

Day and night scores both run high here, so it earns its place as a genuine anytime fragrance rather than a niche pick for one occasion. The result carries real weight under the salt, smoke and incense doing more work than soap and ozone ever could, and it wears equally well to an office desk or a dinner out.
