Our take

Jasmine and orange blossom dominate the middle of Armani Code for Women, white and heady, while honey underneath warms up the whole floral heart with a sticky, dense sweetness. Bitter orange at the top gives a brief, sharp contrast before the jasmine takes over fully and settles in for good, and ginger adds a small warm flicker that most people will only notice in passing.

Once it settles, the fragrance keeps a firm grip, and the sillage stays a low, contained cloud that stays near, intimate rather than broadcast to a crowded room. Winter and fall score highest here, and night leaves day far behind, so this is clearly built for cold-weather evenings specifically, not bright afternoons out and about. Carlos Benaim, Dominique Ropion and Olivier Polge leaned the whole thing toward warmth and sweetness over freshness, and sandalwood in the base gives the honey some grounding so it never turns cloying. The whole composition stays warm, honeyed and rich from the jasmine's peak through to the sandalwood finish, dense enough to feel like a genuine cold-weather indulgence, not an everyday floral.
