Cardamom, green apple and green mandarin open Armani Code Profumo with an odd, sharp freshness before nutmeg, lavender and orange blossom settle the heart into something warmer and spicier. Antoine Maisondieu built the base around tonka bean, amber and leather, and that combination gives the drydown a dense, almost gourmand-adjacent warmth that the bright green opening never quite prepares you for. The contrast between the two halves is the most interesting thing about the whole composition.
The leather-and-tonka base is stubborn, wearing well past the opening spray, and sillage is modest, a warm cloud held close, picked up mainly by whoever stands near. Winter carries by far the strongest season numbers, with fall a distant second, and night dominates day almost completely, marking this as cold-weather evening wear through and through. The green apple and mandarin at the top are the most surprising part of the whole structure, cutting against the amber and leather with something crisp and slightly sour before the spice takes over fully. Lavender adds a clean, herbal note in the heart that keeps some daylight freshness alive even as the base turns dark. It is a warm, spiced fragrance built for short days and long, dark evenings.
