DB01
Fragrance notes
Character
The leather chair is warm under your arms. A glass of dark spirit rests on the table, and the air carries a thick ribbon of smoke that curls near the lamp. DB01 sits in that space. Sandalwood and amber give the room a golden weight, while castoreum pushes a rough, animalic edge into the fabric around you. It is not polished. It smells like a place where people stay too late and speak too freely.
The smoke does not float above the scene. It presses into the wood and the leather, mixing with musk until the boundaries blur. Cashmeran adds a soft, synthetic gloss that keeps the air from feeling completely natural. Citruses flash once near the glass and then vanish into the heavier mass. Indole sits low, adding a slightly dirty floral touch that makes the space feel lived in rather than cleaned.
This is not a fragrance for bright mornings or open windows. It belongs where the air is still and the light is dim. Someone who enjoys heavy, resinous scents will find a familiar home here. The metallic accord in the background gives the blend a sharp, modern bite that stops it from feeling like a dusty antique. It is bold without asking for permission.
The limitation is the balance. The metallic note grows louder as the minutes pass, eventually overshadowing the sandalwood and smoke that made the opening so compelling. What begins as a rich leather study turns slightly harsh and thin. The animalic promise fades, leaving a sharpness that feels unintended.
