Formentera
Fragrance notes
Character
Formentera opens with a bright, almost sharp burst of neroli, but the coriander twists it immediately into something more angular, less sunlit and more tense. That tension softens as green leaves and fig nectar arrive, the fig offering a milky, fruity sweetness that never goes full jammy. It stays leafier than you expect, more stem than fruit. The cedar base is barely perceptible, a ghost of wood that does little to anchor the scent to skin. This is a fragrance that feels less like an island holiday and more like the crushed remains of a fig leaf on a hot pavement, evaporating before you can really study it. That impression matches the numbers: longevity barely crests two hours, and sillage evaporates to a whisper within thirty minutes. For a cheap, cheerful summer splash, it works beautifully under a cotton shirt on a scorching afternoon, but anyone expecting a full day’s wear will be left reapplying before lunch. It suits the person who wants a clean, green freshness without heaviness, not the one who demands projection or a three act story. Wear it to the beach, to a farmers market, to a park bench in June. Olivier Pescheux gave it a lovely, transparent character, but H&M gave it the lifespan of a mayfly.
