Character
Citron, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian orange open in near unison, a citrus chord so unified it barely registers as three separate notes. Jacques Cavallier Belletrud keeps that brightness going far longer than most citrus openings manage, letting Tunisian neroli slide in underneath without disrupting the top.
Nigerian ginger and Ceylon cinnamon add warmth without tipping the fragrance toward anything spicy-heavy, and the effect feels like warm sunlight on skin more than sharp spice.
By the base, Chinese black tea and guaiac wood bring in something drier, a tannic edge from the tea leaf alone, while ambroxan and olibanum keep the whole thing airy rather than dense.
It sticks with the skin longer than the light citrus opening would suggest, and the sillage keeps a tight radius, felt by whoever is nearby without carrying much further. Summer is where it belongs, with spring working nearly as well, and it makes far more sense in daylight than after dark given how bright it stays throughout. Green touches keep surfacing between the citrus and the tea, a small reminder of the fragrance's fresher origins even as the base turns drier.
