Our take

Harmonic Tourmaline opens with a bright, sticky pineapple note wrapped in thick honey. The fruit feels sun-warmed and heavy rather than tart, and the honey adds a golden, slightly animalic weight that pushes the fragrance straight into gourmand territory. As it moves forward, rose and cocoa take over the center. The rose is deep and red, while the cocoa brings a dry, powdered chocolate tone that keeps the flowers from floating away. Magnolia and jasmine sit quietly behind them, adding a fresh petal softness that prevents the heart from becoming too dense. Amber glows through the middle layer, tying the sweet and floral elements together with a warm, resinous thread.

The base settles into patchouli and sandalwood, with vetiver adding a clean, earthy edge. Patchouli carries a dark, leafy character that grounds the earlier sweetness, while sandalwood contributes a smooth, creamy wood. The amber repeats here, reinforcing the resinous warmth through the drydown. The overall composition stays sweet and spicy from start to finish, leaning fully into its oriental floral identity. The one clear limitation is the synthetic edge that occasionally rises through the heart, where the cocoa and rose can smell more like a candle than a nuanced perfume.
