Sur opens with bright bergamot that carries lavender, jasmine, and rose through the first moments. The lavender gives a clean edge to the citrus, while the jasmine and rose add a soft floral layer that keeps the entrance from feeling sharp. This combination feels composed rather than crowded, with each material staying distinct instead of blending into a single blur.
Basil, artemisia, and nutmeg form the center. The basil brings a green bite that cuts through the earlier florals, and artemisia adds a slightly bitter herbal tone. Nutmeg warms the mix without turning it sweet. Cedar and moss anchor the base alongside leather and cinnamon leaf. The cedar is dry and straight, the moss adds earth, and the leather sits close to the wood rather than dominating the air.
Francisco Jiménez composed this oriental fougere for men in 2022. It fits a cool morning when the air is crisp and a jacket is still needed, or an evening walk under bare trees when the ground smells of damp earth and fallen leaves. The cinnamon leaf glows against the cedar like a lit window in a wooden house.
