Our take

It opens like a plush velvet cushion dropped in a bowl of ripe raspberries: the red berries and Mexican chocolate hit first, a syrupy sweet punch that feels almost edible, but the rose is already unfurling beneath it, keeping things just shy of cloying. Within minutes, the tonka and patchouli slide in, turning the warmth denser, more ambered, less fruity, more deep-chested. The dry down is a dusty vanilla chocolate shell wrapped around a faintly woody base, like a forgotten box of truffles left on a velvet chair in a dark theater.

This is a floral fruity gourmand that wears its sweetness with a straight face. It is not shy, yet falls short of being a room-filler: the sillage hovers at a modest three out of five, and longevity barely clears three hours before it becomes a close skin scent. You will need to reapply if you want the chocolate-rose duet to follow you past lunch. It smells mainstream, leaning synthetic in the bright top notes, but the patchouli ground feels natural enough to ground the whole composition.

Who wears this? A woman who loves her gourmands but wants them with a touch of rouge, not just sugar. Skip it if you despise sweet florals or demand beastmode projection. Fall and winter are its true stage, but the raspberry and berries give it a strange, defiant flicker in spring and summer too. Day or night, it performs the same trick: a dessert that remembered to bring a flower.
