Berlin presents a dense mix of ambergris, smoke, leather, and Calabrian bergamot that stays present for an extended period once applied. Cumin, vanillin, and tonka bean add a warm, slightly edible weight, while iso e super and incense keep the blend anchored close to the skin rather than pushing outward. The salt and oakmoss notes cut through the heavier elements, giving the composition a dry edge that prevents it from becoming overly sweet.
Miguel Matos composed this unisex fragrance with oud and balsamic accents that suit a night out in the city when the air is cool and the streets are loud. The amber and animalic accords feel deliberate in that setting, where a woody, musky trace complements a leather jacket and a late itinerary. Fresh spicy and citrus facets from the bergamot provide just enough lift to keep the darker materials from collapsing into one another.
The cumin here is pronounced and will not work for anyone who dislikes that particular sharpness in a fragrance. It dominates the early impression and lingers through the wear, making the overall profile challenging for daily use. Those who prefer clean citrus or soft florals will find this blend too aggressive and unyielding.
