Our take

Licorice and star anise open the composition with a sharp, herbal bite. Aldehydes add a fizzy, metallic sparkle that lifts the spices upward. A hint of pineapple peeks through the sharp opening, bright and unexpected against the dark herbs. Palisander rosewood grounds the top with a dry, woody edge.

The heart grows dense and warm. Smoke curls through rum and cinnamon, while oregano adds a savory, kitchen-like twist. Lavender and lily-of-the-valley try to soften the heat, but ylang-ylang pushes the center toward a heavy, tropical thickness. The middle feels crowded, as if every warm spice in the cabinet was poured into one bowl.

Caramel and tonka bean coat the base in a thick, sticky resin. Oud and tobacco bring a deep, tarry weight that feels heavy on the skin. Coffee and patchouli add bitter shadows, while opoponax and musk wrap the finish in a golden, animalic haze. It smells like standing near a bonfire where someone spilled rum and burnt sugar into the embers.
