Our take

Volare opens with a burst of apricot and peach so ripe they seem to have been peeled at the moment of spritz, a candied sweetness that quickly settles into a powdery, floral heart. The lilac and violet lead the dance here, with the iris adding a cosmetic dustiness and the rose lending a faint, soapy structure. It is a clean floral, not a dewy one, and as it dries down, the sandalwood and musk arrive as a soft, warm cushion, more whisper than embrace. The amber barely registers, leaving the final impression of a plush velvet pouch emptied of its petals.

This is a fragrance built for daylight and office corridors, a cheerful workhorse that asks for nothing in return. The numbers tell the truth: longevity is short, sillage is timid, and the whole affair evaporates within a few hours like morning fog on a spring lawn. Yet there is an unpretentious charm to its modesty, a cotton blouse of a scent, tidy and pleasant. It suits someone who wants a gentle, fruity floral without demanding attention, but those craving depth, projection, or anything remotely dangerous should walk past. Best in the crisp air of autumn, when its powdery warmth contrasts with the chill, or in early spring as a bridge between seasons. A likeable, forgettable companion that will not offend, but will not linger either.
