Fragrance notes
Character
The opening is a crisp herbal wave that hits immediately. Petitgrain and lemon provide a bright, bitter spark, while mint and anise add a cooling, slightly medicinal edge. Palo Santo lends a dry, smoky woodiness that stops the citrus from feeling like a standard cleaning product. As the scent settles, the heart reveals a green and slightly indolic floral mix. Geranium and carnation offer a spicy, clove-like punch, but the Indian patchouli here is heavy and soiled, pushing the ylang-ylang into a dark corner rather than letting it shine.
The foundation is a dense, balsamic blanket of benzoin, vanilla, and amber that wraps around the sharp vetiver and earthy oakmoss. It feels substantial and resinous, like walking into a wood-panelled library filled with dried herbs. The sage and galbanum try to keep the sweetness in check, but the sheer volume of resinous notes eventually smothers the bright top. The composition is so packed with heavy materials that it loses its defined shape, becoming a blurred, sticky warmth that lacks the clear airiness promised by the initial mint and citrus.
