Duro

Duro is built from a short list of raw materials, woodsy notes, leather and spices, and it wears dense and smoky despite the minimal formula. Alessandro Gualtieri is the nose behind it, and the leather here reads dry and slightly burnt rather than polished, with the smoky accord giving it a dark, animalic edge throughout. There is no citrus, no obvious sweetness and no floral relief anywhere in the structure, just wood, hide and spice pressed close together from the first minute.

Staying power runs long, holding its smoky, leathery shape for a full, uninterrupted wear, and sillage has real reach, leaving a trail as the wearer moves through a space. Fall and winter are its natural seasons, and the night-leaning character fits, built for evenings when the temperature has actually dropped and a coat is already involved. The spices stay warm and smoldering, closer to embers than to fresh-ground pepper, giving the whole composition a grounded, heavy quality. Anyone drawn to dark, minimal leathers with genuine presence will find plenty here, while anyone after brightness or sweetness should look elsewhere.
