Our take

Olivier Cresp, the man behind some of the most audacious gourmands in the business, took a soft, safe swing for Avon here, and the result is a competent crowd-pleaser that never quite swings for the fences. Today Tomorrow Always My Everything opens with a bright, candied raspberry, the bergamot adding a tart citrus shimmer and a whisper of ginger that quickly fades into the floral heart. That heart is a dense, slightly soapy bouquet of orange blossom, rose, and jasmine sambac, sweetened more than deepened, before the base settles into a familiar vanilla-tinged sandalwood and praline. The overall impression is like a sugar-dusted powder compact tossed into a spring garden — pretty, polite, and thoroughly mainstream. The sillage is a soft echo (just over a 3), and longevity clocks in similarly, meaning you’ll get a few hours of pleasant, clean sweetness before it becomes a ghost on your skin. It wears best in the crisp air of fall or the gentle warmth of spring, ideally for daytime errands or an office where you want to smell nice without announcing your arrival. Who should skip it? Anyone craving depth, darkness, or a little risk in their scent. This isn’t an enveloping cloud or a bold statement; it’s a well-mannered bouquet for the woman who wants to smell “finished” without thinking too hard about it. For the price and the perfumer pedigree, you could do far worse, but you could also ask for a little more something.
