Our take

Coconut and ylang-ylang open sweet and creamy, with peach and orange adding a juicy top layer that fades fast once jasmine, gardenia and rose take hold in the heart. Karo Karounde is an unusual name to spot among all that coconut and ylang-ylang, a fruity-floral note that mostly blends into the general sweetness rather than standing out on its own. The white florals here are lush and a little heady, closer to a bouquet left in a warm room than anything delicate or airy.

The trade-off for all that richness is subtlety: nothing here whispers, and wearers who prefer a fragrance that unfolds slowly will find most of the story told before it ever really settles in.

Vanilla, sandalwood, amber and musk close out the base, thick and powdery, with a lactonic creaminess running through the whole thing from coconut to the very end. Sillage announces itself before conversation starts, and once it digs in, it stays for a long while. Fall and winter own the entire season profile, with nothing left over for warmer weather.

This much white floral and vanilla together asks for confidence; anyone who prefers quiet, linear scents should probably pass, but for someone who wants a lush, wintery bouquet with real presence, it delivers exactly that without apology.
